Happy Tuesday #90

Hi everyone,

A couple of weeks ago mommy and daddy made me wear an uncomfortable dress and sit in a chair in front of the Christmas tree. They wanted to take my picture but somehow they forgot that I'm almost two and don't like to sit still. To make me settle down for a minute they gave me a "ball." It was neat and all but I wasn't fooled. It was just a dumb ole ornament off the tree. Do they think I was born yesterday?

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

CK

Happy Tuesday #89

Hi everyone,

The bad weather is keeping me inside, but it's not keeping me down. I've found ways to have fun in spite of the bad weather. Let's just say I have my own climbing wall right here in mommy and daddy's bedroom. Today the inflatable mattress...tomorrow Kilimanjaro.

I hope you find new ways to have fun inside this week.

Happy Tuesday #88

Hi everyone,

It's late and I'm tired. I was in bed but mommy made me get up and write to you. I didn't want to but she said Tuesday wouldn't be the same without a picture from me. So here it is. A picture of me...and happy wishes for a happy almost Wednesday.

Good night.

CK

Happy Tuesday #87

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Mine was nice. I ate a little turkey, had some mashed potatoes, and even tried some sweet potatoes. But to me all the food is overrated. The best part about Thanksgiving is playing outside. Then again, that's the best part of any day. I vote for a new holiday called Play Outise All Day. Anyone else in favor?

I hope you find new ways to have fun inside this week.

CK

Happy Tuesday #86

Hi everyone,

It's the holiday season again and daddy has been getting our halls decked. We have a new addition to our holiday decor and I think he's really neat. Mommy and daddy keep calling him a bear, but it's very obvious that he is a dog. I think mommy and daddy need new glasses for Christmas.

Deck those halls!

Happy Tuesday #85

Hi everyone,

A few days ago my cousin Tommy came over. It was a blast. I made believe he was my big brother. I followed him around and asked him for "big hugs." The best part was when I climbed on the chair next to him to read a book. Through it all he was a good sport...but he drew the line when I started to rub his head. Maybe it's better I'm an only child.

Ask someone for a "big hug" this week. Just try not to rub their head.

Happy Tuesday #84

Hi everyone,

There comes a time when the open road calls. There are so many adventures, so many sites, and so many pancake houses to enjoy. I may be little but I'm preparing myself to hit the highways. If only I could see over the steering wheel without standing up.

I'll see you on the road.

Happy Tuesday #83

Hi everyone,

Halloween was a disappointment this year. I couldn't completely enjoy myself because I had a fever and an earache. But I did my best to make mommy and daddy happy. I put on my costume and played like a good little fairy by prancing around the yard and walking over to a couple houses for candy. If you ask me Halloween is overrated. I like holidays that don't require an itchy costume.

Don't let anyone make you wear something itchy this week.

CK

Happy Tuesday #82

Hi everyone,

It's just not Halloween until you've picked out a pumpkin. Over the weekend mommy and daddy took me to a pumpkin patch. The purpose of the trip was to pick a pumpkin, but I was more interested in running around in the big, open area. We did manage to get some nice pumpkins...one for daddy, mommy, me, and Ollie. Daddy's pumpkin is already carved. It looks like the Jolly Roger. Mommy is supposed to carve the rest of our pumpkins before Halloween...but I'm not holding my breath.

Have a Jolly Halloween!

Happy Tuesday #81

Hi everyone,

Tonight I went to the Funtastic Fall Festival here in Wentzville. It was sponsored by the Parents as Teachers and it was pretty fun. They had little pools filled with fall leaves, a bean bag toss, and a game where you could make your own scarecrow. My favorite activity was probably the Pumpkin Potato Head. I enjoyed giving the pumpkin a face by adding eyes, a nose and mouth, but the best part was getting to put stuff on my own face. I think I look even more intelligent with my new eye ware.

Happy fall everyone!

Happy Tuesday #80

Hi everyone,

When I was a baby I liked hats. As I grew to be a toddler, all that changed. I don't like things on my head anymore. But once in awhile, to appease mommy and daddy, I'll wear a hat. I figure it makes them happy, and if they're in a good mood things go better for all of us. However, with grown-ups you have to be careful...if you give them an inch they'll take a mile. The proof is in these pictures.

Don't give grown-ups even an inch this week.

Happy Tuesday #79

Hi everyone,

With the economy the way it is, most people are staying close to home. Staycations are all the rage, even with toddlers. So instead of living my dream of going on safari, mama and papa brought the safari to me. Now does anyone know where I can get a cheap saddle?

Enjoy a nice week at home.

Happy Tuesday #78

Hi everyone,

I ate something fun the other day. It was a sucker shaped like a diamond ring. It took me by surprise because at first it was sweet, but then it was sour. It made me pucker. I like to call it my Pucker Sucker.

Have a good week and so long...suckers!

Happy Tuesday #77

Hi everyone,

I'm a toddler so I have every right to be a mess. Although I show glimpses of being neat and organized (like the day I lined my toys neatly on the window sill), Mommy says I'm usually a mess and I agree. It's fun to be messy and I like to yell "a MESS" really loud. My favorite time to be a mess is at dinner. Playing with my food is especially fun. It's a challenge for mommy and daddy, but like I always say...parenting is tough. Deal with it.

Be a mess this week. It's liberating.

Happy Tuesday #76

Hi everyone,

I've been in the car a lot lately. Between garage sales, trips to Grandma and Grandpa's house, shopping for shoes, and a family birthday party, I've been in the car more than out of it. But mommy and daddy do what they can to keep me occupied. They try to give me fun stuff in the car to play with...and based on the smile I'm sporting, I'd say they were doing a good job helping me cope.

BEEP! BEEP! Have fun in your car this week!

Happy Tuesday #75

Hi everyone,

I'm a really big girl these days. I say lots of words and I run around everywhere to explore my independence. But every once in awhile I like to remind mommy and daddy that I'm still just a baby. It's a good thing to do when I'm in trouble since they just can't resist my innocent baby face.

Put on your baby face for someone this week.

Happy Tuesday #74

Hi everyone,

Sometimes when they want me to laugh, mommy and daddy make me fly. They lift me up above their heads and start humming the tune from Superman. I fly through the air and it's a terrific feeling. But today I wanted nothing to do with it. No flying. No soaring above the clouds. Nothing. They tried their best...but there are some days you just don't wanna be a super hero.

This week make sure no one makes you do something you don't wanna do.

CK

Happy Tuesday #73

Hi everyone,

On many Happy Tuesdays I've told you about some of the neat things I do at night with mommy and daddy. This week I want to share some of the cool things I do on the days I go to mama and papa Schwent's house. I do so many fun things it's hard to remember everything. Luckily the camera helps me keep track of my activities. So instead of telling you about my exciting adventures, I'm going to follow the rule that all good communicators know: it's better to show than to tell.

Go adventuring this week!

CK

Happy Tuesday #72

Hi everyone,

Last night mommy and daddy took me to the park. It was great spending time with them and I sure loved playing on the slide. As dusk began to settle over the park, daddy and I strolled off together to see the lake. I thought it was a neat lake...it looked like a giant bath tubby.

Take a walk with someone you love this week.

Happy Tuesday #71

Hi everyone,

I have a new friend and he's the best friend ever. I think he likes me too. He has many good qualities; he's funny, colorful, loves the water, and he dresses very stylish. He came to my house this weekend for a party and he really brought things to life. I thought you'd enjoy a picture of us together. I did my best to smile like him. If only my front teeth were all the way in.

I hope you find a new friend this week.

Happy Tuesday #70

Hi everyone,

I have a new passion. It's called NASCAR. Daddy turned it on and I was immediately captivated. The fast cars speeding around the track, the roar of the engines, the blown tires and metal crashing into the walls...there is nothing quite like it. When I see the race on TV, I point at the cars and laugh and scream. And when the caution flag is waved and the cars slow down, I get bored and head for the kitchen. I'm already a genuine racing fan.
I hope you find your passion this week.

Happy Tuesday #69

Hi everyone,

I enjoy going to stores. Sitting in the shopping carts is fun and I love looking around at all the people. Some stores are especially neat because they have shopping carts that look like cars and have steering wheels. And although they try to keep them a secret, some stores have shopping carts with crazy birds attached to them. At first they're a little creepy, but after awhile they just blend in with all the other groceries.

Have fun shopping this week.

CK

Happy Tuesday #68

Hi everyone,

It's hot. In fact, it's so hot I've given up on going outside. Instead I'm getting creative and finding all kinds of fun things to keep myself busy...inside. Like cleaning. Who would have thought cleaning could be fun? It's very satisfying. And then there is my redneck wagon...Bunny and I love it. Who needs a Radio Flyer anyway?

Stay inside and get creative this week.

Happy Tuesday #67

Hi everyone,
I had tea with an old friend yesterday. I have to say that I was disappointed with the conversation. Back when I was a baby, we used to be able to talk about everything. Now that I'm older and more sophisticated, the conversation was not as engaging. And boy, he sure can't hold his tea.

Here's to engaging conversation...hope you find some this week.

Happy Tuesday #66

Hi everyone,

A few months ago mommy and daddy started making plans for my playroom. It was to be a very exciting place where all my toys would stay. Then the flood came and my playroom dreams were washed away. After three whole months mommy and daddy finally got carpet back in the basement. So once again they are making plans to get me shelves, colorful pictures, and maybe even some play mats for the floor. It's nice to have the basement back and I'm spending a lot of time there. I rock out on the drums and sometimes the guitar, but mainly I just relax and kick my feet up.

Have a great week and kick back for awhile.

CK

Happy Tuesday #65

Hi everyone,

It's pretty much a ritual in my household to go outside in the evening. Part of that ritual lately includes looking at mommy's flowers and watering them. Most of the time when I look at the petunias on our front porch, I can't resist picking one or two. I know I'm only supposed to smell them, but I can't help it. So in order to put the flowers I pick to good use, daddy puts one behind my ear. I love the look, and now I won't play in my yard without this simple adornment in my hair. I'm hoping to start a trend by getting people all across the U.S.A. to pick a flower and put it behind an ear. In this election year, think of this effort as my own little campaign. It's my way of saying...I'm proud to be an American.

May the power of the flower be with you this week. Oh, and have a great 4th!

Love,
CK
