Happy Tuesday #24

Hi everyone,

Everyone at my house is pretty excited because football season starts Thursday. To get ready for the season, we had a whole lot of people over to our house on Saturday for a fantasy football draft. Last year mommy's team made it to the championship game, but daddy's team struggled. I have a feeling things will be different this year.

Support your favorite team this week.

Love,
CK

Happy Tuesday #23

Hi everyone,
Saturday was a neat day. Mommy had some errands to run so I got to spend time with daddy and Ollie. Daddy read me a book and then he took some blocks and built me a tower. I knocked it down again and again. It was funny. But by the afternoon I was missing mommy. I think Ollie was missing mommy too.

I sure hope you don't miss anyone this week.

Love,
CK

PS. I am six months old today. It's been a good life so far.

Happy Tuesday #22

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure where to begin. I've had a week like no other and it's difficult to put all my experiences into a short message. In a week I turn six months old, so many new things are happening fast. I'm getting new toys, new clothes, new teeth (well, they aren't here yet but I think they're on the way) eating new stuff, and I'm about ready to do something really big: crawl. Oh, and my first football season is almost here. Go Rams!

One big event from last week was my first bath in the big tubby. It was real fun and scary too. It's so big and I felt so small. I'm glad mommy and daddy were right there to make sure I didn't konk my head or anything.

Speaking of getting a konk on the head, I took quite a spill on Friday night. Mommy was taking me out for a walk and while we were coming down the front step, my stroller fell over. Mommy tried to pull it back up, but instead she fell with me. It was a sight! I'm glad daddy was right inside the house and heard our screams. He saved us in the nick of time. My head got a scrape on it so mommy and daddy took me to the Emergency Room. (They were much more upset than me. I was brave.) The doctor there said I was just fine and all I needed was some ointment on the ouchie. For a day mommy kept saying my ouchie made me look a little like Gorbachev (I really don't know who that is, but oh well), but I'm already much better and the accident didn't slow me down a bit. I used to complain about the dumb ole straps that hold me in my stroller, but now I have a new appreciation for them. Whew!

Hold on tight this week. You never know when you might take a spill.

Love,
CK

Happy Tuesday #21

Hi everyone,

I love the weekend. Saturday and Sunday are great days because mommy and daddy do fun stuff with me and take me on adventures. But my most favorite part about the weekend is lounging in mommy and daddy's big bed. The soft covers and plush mattress really help me recharge.

Find a big bed this week and do some lounging.

CK

Happy Tuesday #20

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I don't have much hair. In fact, I'm pretty bald. I haven't started to panic yet, but I do get a little concerned whenever I see a full head of hair on a baby my own age. I'm sure I'll grow hair eventually, but in the meantime I'm learning to focus on what I do have rather than on what I don't. After all, a big smile and plenty of hats should get me pretty far.

Accentuate the positive this week. And when all else fails, flash a big smile.

Love,
CK

Happy Tuesday #19

Hi everyone,

Saturday was a momentous occasion. My friend Norah had her first birthday party, and I turned five months. To celebrate both occasions, I got all dressed up in one of my best party dresses. Even though I looked very elegant, I still managed to sneak in a little silliness.

Get all dressed up this week...even if you have no place to go.

CK

Happy Tuesday #18

Hi everyone,

I have a new highchair and it's real cool. I eat cereal in it and sometimes I eat the food tray. I guess my manners aren't too good yet, but I'll have plenty of time to be polite when I get big.

Forget your manners this week and just have fun!

CK
